Student housing:
As the students of Tromsø goes on hollyday, their appartments stands empty. This is an excellent opportunity to get cheap lodging with good quality during the tournament (you do not have to be a student to rent these). Rent a room for 250 NOK per night (including sheets). The student houses are located about 25 minutes by foot (or ten minutes by bus) from the playing venue.

Budget alternative:
Tromsø Chess Club has reserved 50 beds at Tromsø Youth Hostel with five rooms with four beds and ten rooms with three beds.

The cost is 165NOK (ca. 20€) per night. All rooms have a sink, but one shares bath and kitchen. Bed sheets can be brought or rent at the hostel. More information at Tromsø Youth Hostel's home page.
